gallery nrc started as a stand alone gallery located in northwest Denver. The Tennyson Street Cultural District, where the gallery was located, is fifteen minutes from downtown Denver. Established in 2009 the gallery featured the work of local photographers as well as photographers from across the United States as well as the world.
Each month the gallery participated in the First Friday Art Walk which started on Tennyson Street in 1998. On the first Friday evening of the month galleries and shops along Tennyson stayed open late allowing visitors to experience a wide range of art and culture in a friendly neighborhood environment.
Over time redevelopment changed the area from arts focused to dining and entertainment as Denver grew, which is when the gallery transitioned to a virtual experience remaining focused on sharing the work of photographers. The gallery maintains a database of work which has been on display at the gallery allowing the photographers who have shown work at the gallery to get their work in front of corporate art buyers.
